11 Select Essbase > Options and select the Mode tab.

12 In the Formula Preservation group box, select the check box for Retain on Zooms and click OK.

13 In cell A3, drill down (double-click) on Qtr1.

Essbase drills down on Qtr1 and moves the formula down with the Qtr1 member. The result is

shown in Figure 105.

14 Select Essbase > FlashBack.

15 Select Essbase > Options and select the Mode tab.

16 In the Formula Preservation group box, select the Formula Fill check box and click OK.

17 In cell A3, drill down (double-click) on Qtr1.

Essbase drills down on Qtr1 and replicates the formula for each member of Qtr1 (Jan, Feb, and

Mar). To view the replicated formulas, click in cells D3, D4, D5, and D6 and look at the new

syntax in the spreadsheet formula bar. The result is shown in Figure 106.
